| May 26 - 28, 2001 | Riga, Latvia
It was Memorial day weekend and we had a 3 days off, so we decided to drive to Riga. It was our first road trip in our new car. Riga is about 5 hours away from Vilnius. The roads are pretty good, and even though it was a little intimadating at first the boarder crossing was no problem. It was the first time we drove across a border, Canada does not count. |
| April 30 - May 5, 2001 | St. Petersburg, Russia
Towards the end of the school year grades 8 and 9 attended a weeklong field trip to St. Petersburg, with us as chaperones. One of main goals was to have our students meet with the American school in St. Petersburg and a local Russian school, which teaches in English. While in the city, the students tour the world famous art museum the Hermitage, Peterhof Palace, and Peter and Paul Fortress. Our students stayed with the families from the American school, so we had some time to explore on our own. |
| February 16-18, 2001 | Paris, France
